The VIAVI ALT-9000 Radio Altimeter Test Set is designed for fast, accurate testing and troubleshooting of all types of radio altimeter systems, including Low Probability of Intercept (LPI), Combined Altitude Radar Altimeter (CARA), and next-generation variants. Using fiber optic delay line technology, the ALT-9000 provides altitude simulations with true RF time delay and path loss models, ensuring precise and reliable results.

Its intuitive graphical touchscreen interface displays key parametric measurements such as TX Power, TX Frequency, FM Deviation, Sweep Rate, Pulse Width, and PRF. Built for portability and durability, the ALT-9000 is ideal for flight line or bench use and operates on battery power for maximum flexibility.

Additional capabilities include static altitude simulation from 5 ft to 10,000 ft in 5 ft increments, with extended range options up to 16,000 ft and 25,000 ft. The unit supports direct connection to UUT T/R or installed systems via antenna couplers, making it a versatile solution for avionics maintenance and certification.
